Seriously though, it’s inspiring to see a dude like him who was a 8:19 3k runner in college make a big jump like that and run an elite time. That’s a second off of Hocker’s 3k Pr to put it into perspective. I’ve seen his struggles throughout his career post collegiately and there were many times I thought he was going to quit. He missed sub 4 multiple times and came up short of qualifying for the trials in the steeple but now he has to be feeling a whole new level of confidence that he’s never felt before. I’m rooting for him to make that steeple team! GO JOEY CHEESE!
