That's great, but they still pay their incompetent CEO like what, 4 million a year? They cut his salary in half to a measly 2 million and boom they can give out 500 more maternity/athelete development grants of 4k..... or 50 of 40,000$. And 2 million is still way too much Imo.

This is the USATF Foundation awarding these grants, not USATF...the Foundation actually supports the athletes and is an actual non profit, not run by overpaid, arrogant egotist.

It’s a start and it should be commended. Hopefully this program grows. Very much needed.
Would love to observe the cut off discussions. Not every women who runs track and has a baby will be getting these grants. So some group has to sit around and decide who is worthy of payment and who is not. Virtue signaling has its downsides.

Huddles gotta be pretty much on the way out too. Seems like a weird use of a grant: “hey, you’re past your prime, heres 4 grand to go have a kid and put the nail in your careers coffin”
