My wife told me a lie to avoid having sex with me, should I be worried? What does it mean?

Just get used to it. Lies and lack of sex are supposed to be what marriage is about. Or so I have been told.

Ask her what's going on. Don't say "I know you lied to me to get out of having sex, tell me what's wrong with you so I can fix it and I can get sex again" but ask "hey I noticed you've been acting differently (or sad/distant/whatever) recently and just wanted to make sure everything was okay." Don't bring up the sex part, she will see right through that and not want to talk to you, trust me.

As a side note, she's not withholding sex because she magically lost attraction for you or stopped liking sex. There's likely some other emotions going on that are causing her to libido to drop. It may be caused by you or it may not, but you're not going to learn anything by asking a bunch of virgins on an online running forum.

Does she have a history of depression? Has she gained weight? I know that these factors have coincided with my own lack of sex drive.

Decide right now whether you would be happy being with her with zero. If not, you had better bail immediately. You can't fix it long term.

This is the exact opposite of good advice.

If you tell a woman who is lying to you to get out of sec that she has been “acting differently (or sad/distant/whatever)” she will either stab you or somehow get you to admit to things you’ve never done.

If you want to know what’s going on with the sex, ask her about the sex. There’s nothing to “see right through.” It’s called being direct.
