Fired on Sep 30th of last yr, worked in orthopaedics. Was submitting to daily testing even though PCR tests are meaningless.
Refused to get “jabbed”
Never called out sick in 3 yrs working there.
Now all the jabbed workers there are sick and “there’s a healthcare shortage”
Getting $900 a month in unemployment.
Not looking as CA is nuts right now.
I’m grateful for the time off, but very bitter as I helped many people for years and worked through “the pandemic”. Now supposedly I’m a risk. Whatever. Many think I deserved this but for me the risk of the jab is not worth my health. As I’m witnessing my former colleagues, you can’t help others if you’re sick yourself. Nothing selfish about caring for yourself.

Sorry to hear that man. Couldn’t imagine living in CA during all this, but you are a stud in my book for not bowing down to that crap.
If it gets really dire I would suggest coming over to the Southeast. People over here over here are way more grounded, jobs everywhere, and a fraction of the cost of living in CA.

30 because I'm a self made millionaire and I don't need the money. Perhaps I'll start working again sporadically to entertain myself but with the fact that I have a woman in the picture now, I'll have to prepare to lose half my assets. Although she's unique, she may not feel compelled to take anything from me if it doesn't work out. She works and makes pretty good money and wants me to control all the money and invest whatever she brings home. She trusts me with all our money and has confidence in that, which is key to our relationship thriving.

Yes, it makes sense, you moron. Those who are allowed to come to work are asymptomatic. Those who are vaxxed have a much less chance of spreading COVID, especially if they are are asymptomatic. Since you are not vaxxed, you have a great chance of getting it, especially in the hospital, and then when you do get it, you will be shedding a ton of virus and much more easily infect others. What did you do at the hospital, sweep the floors?

A vaxxed person who gets a breakthrough infection is much less likely to die or even need hospitalization, and they are much less likely to spread the illness. The guy you are referring to is a moron. Don't be one also.
Graduated in December with degree in Engineering but haven't found a job.
I'm 49 and technically unemployed. I went back to school later in life and got a MS in math when I was 42. Since then I haven't worked a traditional job except as a community college math teacher. Otherwise I built the software infrastructure for a couple of startups that went nowhere. I'm currently doing the startup life again building the core software for another startup. The money is tight but there is potential as it is in the Oil&Gas field. If this startup fails I will apply for dev roles again. But at my age and experience level on paper, that would be difficult and plus I am just not cut out for the corporate environment. So I do work quite a bit but I don't have much that I can publicly show, and I make very little.
