Does anyone know if the fires in Colorado have prompted the new coaches to see if the mental health of any of their opted out athletes (or former opted out athletes!) are in a good mental state? Didn't go over too well for the last guy.

Oh we’re referencing the kid that successfully got their scholarships and budget massively slashed? Doubt it…
kinda like Cortez as your username implies... but not so.... whelp end of an era for that program. they had something like 75 NCAA qualifiers and then POOF all gone because old coach didn't text an opted out senior if she was doing ok during a fire. Hope the new coaches took note..... you're not a coach in these days you're a therapists ding dong

Omg this is brutal… crazy to think coaching jobs and entire programs can be ruined by one unhappy kid with a social media account. Stay positive coaches and remember xc and track don’t matter at most schools beyond increasing the number of kids attending the college and all but a handful of colleges care at all how the team performs!
Stay positive and stay employed.

I think they are talking about the athlete that was at LMU last year and didn’t like the coach because she felt he was mean to her and went on Instagram and crucified him and the school ended up firing him and in the process decided to also cut a bunch of funding and quit even trying with the program.
But seriously though, has anyone from LMU checked on Rosie after the fires in Boulder?

Don’t know the whole story but I hope someone has reached out to the coach she ruined… I hope he/she/they/them is doing well.
