Olympic Shake Up: Cross Country and Cyclocross in Winter & Road 5/10K and Ekiden in the Summer ?

The fact is after the pandemic there is no more independent NFL, WA, IOC, NCAA, NBA, MLB, WTA, FIFA, etc. They'll all be swallow up by Shenzhen, Hollywood, Seattle, and Silicon Valley trillion dollar stream monsters along with NBC, CNN, BBC, Xingua, NHK, Agence France, Fox Sports, ESPN, etc.

Today we can take airline flights across 1/2 the globe in 16 hours. Thus no need to sail on a boat for 30 days to compete in the Olys every 4 years. We can now have year around summer and winter medal matches.

With Global Warming, Sustainability, etc. building new venues every four years will be forbidden. Venues build must be used year around by non-national, non-Olympic sports, i.e.. the local youth, high school, masters, college, paralympic comunity. One-off venues and summer-only venues or winter-only venues are for the history books.

An Ekiden would be the event I absolutely would not miss as a spectator. 100% in.

Also, I want mountain ultras in it. 50k and 100 mile. Would be amazing.

I agree, I think there should be one Olympic location for summer and one for winter. Or have 4 locations that rotate every other Olympics.

An Ultra would be so cool. Another replacement for the 50K walk could be an old school 6 day race the last week of the Olympics!

Good idea but make that 5 ventues for each. One for each of the continents (Olympic rings).

In terms of reusing venues, many of the more recent host cities would make good future hosts.

In Europe: London for summer, milan or Turin Italy for winter.

North America: LA is happening soon but i feel like it's too hot there. Perhaps Atlanta would be slightly less hot and much more central. Winter in Vancouver, Ca.

Asia: japan doesn't seen to fond of hosting future events. Beijing can host summer, pyeongchang for winter.

Oceania: Australia for summer, new New Zealand for winter.

Africa/south America: umm skip this one.

We only need one city for the Summer Olympics. A sustainable all year warm weather city. Building new venues every forh years is a waster of money. Do you tear down your house and rebuild it every 4 years? The funds are better delivered as prize money and as stipends for each Olympic athlete.

The Asian and West Coat US streaming companies are bottom line driven. After they buy out the IOC they'll pick a sustainable, permanent city to eliminate $50B in construction every 4 years and use the money to pay a huge prize of $millions for medalists. That'll increase the fame and notoriety of our sport and drive up viewership and profits.

You just need to buy enough votes to make it happen. Each individual board member will have a price. Powerful Asian, European, and North American members will probably sell out easier if you cut them back end deals and board seats in the new Wanda IOC Games Corporation.

Realize that the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles will have several dozen multi $B virtual reality and augmented reality super computer technology driven live television studios which just happens to have seats for fans. The days when stadiums were simply chairs, grass, courts and simple LED screens are long over,

The new Los Angeles Clippers $1.8B Intuit Dome will have a two sided Oval scoreboard hung over and spanning the the entire court with dozens of closeup videos from artificial intelligence targeted aerospace guidance systems cameras. No humans are operating the cameras.
