I assume like most healthy athletic people who have the common cold that he will be fine within about a week. Hopefully he doesn’t have any major vaccine side effects which have ended a lot of careers and lives of otherwise healthy people.
Carvalho mentioned that he feels fine but he’s just following protocols (French rules which are quite strict ) and so he will be out of action for a while and in quarantine. I’m in France right now and it’s back to mask wearing everywhere including when we’re outside.
Quite frankly, we’re all fed up with this nightmare (cOVID-19) and we don’t know when it will finish and nobody knows. Like you mentioned, many lives have been seriously damaged. Yours truly is also despondent having lost his job in China with all the benefits.

To think the country that stormed the Bastille has sunk this low.
Of course you know when it ends.
I thought he died from the original headline ‘covid victim’ so I changed the headline .
For one second I thought that he had passed away. I mean, it will happen at one point for sure. At this point (after more than 2 years), I don’t believe that any international runner or any NCAA runner has passed away from COVID.
The likelihood of this figure remaining at zero is low. Possible, but low odds.
Please don't make these sensational headlines. Only sick and fat people die from Covid. He is young and healthy and will be running in a week. Stop with the nonsense.

When the guillotines come out?

Wejo: you are correct and I stand corrected for posting that headline and your alteration is more appropriate. The impact of certain words on a situation should never be neglected. My bad.
Thank you.

+1 - you are correct and I mostly agree with you although I have read about a few cases of healthy people contracting Covid and then having their physical shape compromised by some scarring on the lungs. Those are few cases but we need to keep this in mind. but overall, you are correct and most healthy people and young people even if they contract COVID-19 will not have any significant problems and can continue their lives as normal.
In France, right now the government is going crazy because there are so many new cases but I think what the government fails to acknowledge is that even though caseloads are going up most of those cases are without symptoms and without any danger and so I think that governments are really taking the wrong approach with regard to COVID-19 protocols and paralyzing certain sectors of the economy, not to mention the mental stress and psychological impact that all these stop and start measures have had on people for the past two years almost.

Apparently he is a victim of feeling fine
Is this what the liberal media has come to? Humanity is in trouble. Sensationalising and fear mongering are holding back progress.
Who gives a S*it.
COVID positive means nothing anymore
Not sure why this is big news. He will just need some bed rest.
