Are pro runners in Portland/Colorado using a tanning bed for their winter tans? Lotion? Spray tan? Isn’t a tanning bed bad for your skin/health?

This is kind of a silly question, isn't it? How are pro runners so tan? Hmmm ... what makes pale skinned people tan? Lemme think... ummmmm ...
Yeah that Kipchoge guy is pretty tan. How does he do it?
Definitely nothing to do with the sun so not sure

Obviously not the sun in Portland and Colorado. Shocked that anyone still uses tanning beds, but maybe they do.
many pros go to florida to train in the winter

LMAO
I have seen tan lines with female pro runners, so I think it is mostly just from spending a lot of time running outside. With some one will also see premature face wrinkles, probably both from low body fat and lots of sun in the face.
Are you really asking how athletes that spend most of their time working out outside get so tan?
There’s no way runners in places like Portland and Colorado are getting their tan from the sun in the winter. What are they doing? How are runners from non-sunny climates so tan? It’s obviously fake.
I know Emma Coburn was using artificial tanning methods. My friend venmoed her and saw venmo payments for tanning

You do realize Colorado even in the winter is far more sunny than the majority of the rest of the country right?
They're outside a ton.
I've also noticed a lot of premature aging and wrinkles...
which ones are tan? Most of the white ones are whiter than polished ivory.

You do realize Colorado is cold in the winter, and runners aren’t in a tank top and shorts?
If you're in Denver or Boulder or CO anywhere not in the mountains, there are many winter days where T shirt and shorts would be great for running. T shirt optional. And in the mountains, add mitts and hat to T shirt ensemble.
...on warmer days, when sun is high.

Colorado is one of the sunniest places in the United States.

No, Colorado is cold. You’re not in t-shirts and shorts every day to develop a tan. What are they doing?
