This is why you don't trust libs when they say "If everyone just got vaccinated, we could end all restrictions!"
Libs WILL. NOT. let it end until they are all voted out.

of course not. libs will keep everyone in this state forever. even if keeping it up with the pandemic becomes too ridiculous they will just pivot to lock down because of combatting climate change.
They are so far in and committed to the sham that they don't even care how obvious it is now. Are they going to blame all the unvaxxed students? All zero of them?

Pandemic of the vaccinated RECONFIRMED.
How stupid are you? If everyone (in the world, not at the university) had been vaccinated in a timely manner we wouldn’t have variants. Why is this so hard for Republicans to understand?

Proof that everyone thinks they're smart. Keep being duped by moving goalposts, listening to the faulty advice with no accountability and taking more boosters in a perpetual cycle. You're fulfilling your duty to the corrupt government alright.

Great point
We should have vaccinated the entire planet in 2019
Darn Republicans

We couldn’t do that because a vaccine wasn’t invented yet. Once it was, and lots of people worked really hard to make that happen - and happen fast - about half of the US decided they didn’t want it. That opened the door to variants.
I don’t understand the confusion. We know from anecdotal evidence and peer reviewed studies that the vaccine does not stop the spread of Covid. The vaccine can potentially slow the spread and lowers the rate of severe illness when, not if, infected. The whole world could be vaccinated and we’d still see thousands of deaths and tens to hundreds of millions of “new” cases.
Until we accept that reality, we’re just not being honest and living in fantasyland.

You mean the variant that originated in India in October 2020?
It would appear that the more contagious Omicron variant has something to do with the high rates they are experiencing, as evidenced by an email sent out by the Univ. President to the campus community this morning. It stated: “just last evening our COVID-19 testing lab team identified evidence of the highly contagious Omicron variant in a significant number of Monday’s positive student samples.”
The vaccines currently being used here are thought to be somewhat less effective against Omicron variant if I am not mistaken.

So? The omicron variant is a good thing. Everyone will get it. Shutting down campus accomplishes NOTHING.

It is obvious that non-college anti-vaxxers invaded their kegger parties, showed fake covid cards, and infected everyone.
President Martha Pollack said that the university's Covid-19 lab team detected evidence of the Omicron variant "in a significant number of Monday's positive student samples."
You may have heard that this variant may escape immunity conferred by previous infection or some vaccines.
Do they not teach Nietzsche at universities anymore? Talk about a slave morality!
Putting politics aside- what is the game plan here?
I sincerely don’t understand the thought process of some of these blue states. Are they just going to keep shutting down every few months into perpetuity?
Before the vaccine I could at least understand the other side of the aisle. Now it’s like we are living on different planets.
if the people care, schools like this should see smaller and smaller enrollments.
Just like the Flu, COVID-19 will mutate every year… that’s why there are new flu shots annually. Once the fear mongers admit that truth, we will be able to move forward. Annual COVID-19 shots should be optional, just like Flu shots…
The people that “care” don’t need to worry about specific Ivy League policies. It’s unlikely they will have the chance to turn down admission to one of those schools.
