She made up a comment I didn't say or imply in any way, shape or form and since I wouldn't admit to it they fired me. No witnesses or cameras to back up her story. Then my boss made up some different reason for firing I assume to avoid a discrimination lawsuit. I believe you because the same thing happened to me except I didn't get fired because I had a good relationship with my boss. Female coworker made up a false story about me and also tried to sabotage my work to make it appear as if I did an incompetent job. I never even did a thing to make her hate me but she was just an insecure bully who was looking for a target. I'd file a grievance against the company if I were you. Don't let this go. It is unjust. Perhaps you can find a better job with better coworkers and it can be a blessing in disguise. Good luck.

It's almost for sure a losing battle, because really, a company can get rid of people for almost any reason they wish. I've seen it many times. Company has a layoff and gets rid of undesirables. Company has a mini restructuring and gets rid of a specific job (person).
However, if you feel you were fired unjustly, lawyer up. Co-workers can't go making up lies about you. You'll probably lose any lawsuit, but who knows.

That happened to me years ago. I immediately hired a female attorney who specializes in employment law. If there is no proof, an attorney can get your job back and get you paid for the few days or week you went without pay plus pay attorney fees. I got my job back after two or three days paid vacation!
I once told a person to "calm down" while they were stressing out and being dramatic. Because this person was a female it became an HR issue. I couldnt believe it was an issue.
Imagine a female whining and complaining about unexpected work and stressed to the point of tears.
"Everybody calm down, we will get through this", I said.
Then the female looks back at me in disgust.
Before long there were meetings, reenactments and written exchanges over what happened.

It happens, at the end of the day this job just wasn’t meant to be for you. I’ve been fired because a female made something up about me at work, it’s part of life and really not a huge deal.

I have a hard time giving you the benefit of the doubt if you have a history of "difficulties keeping a job." Most people will never be straight up fired from a job. If getting fired has become a pattern for you, you probably aren't the blameless victim.
So what really happened?
Nothing worse than a work rat, male or female, who is over sensitive and can’t deal with issues head on.
I had an issue with a female co-worker who was frequently brash and insulted people. I had a 1:1 conversation with her about our teams process and if there were any concerns about how we conducted our rollouts. Things were a resolved right there. The alternative was for me to rat her out to her boss, which would have started a complete sh*t storm.
When people complain, it’s normally because they don’t have any power, feel powerless, and are not heard.
Unfortunately, people don’t take this route and it’s easier for people to throw others under the bus hope for another’s downfall.
What does being female have to do with it?
There is an implication, through many of these posts, that females have more bargaining/complaining power at work, and perhaps abuse that or throw their weight around.
Show me some actual evidence that this is the case, not just all of your anecdotes.
I could rattle off dozens of anecdotes about how males have abused their power in the workplace. Anecdotes are only so useful, and often perpetuate stereotypes that are not helpful and in fact counterproductive.
Again, if this is going to be about males vs females, show me real evidence.

"Lawyer up" is when a suspect won't speak with the police without his attorney being present.
An African American female employee went to HR claiming I had made a racial slur in her presence. Fortunately, another African American female employee was present when I had made the comment which was made in relations to the woman's employment position and not her race. She backed me up with HR and I was cleared of any wrong doing. The woman who made the false allegation was none other than Harris Faulkner, yes that Harris Faulkner. She was making false employment claims against every manager in our workplace in an effort to get out of her contract.
They're male and complaining about females reporting them for nothing. Whether they're conservatives who think that women have all the advantages in today's workforce or not, they're raising the issue because they're not coming at this as women upset at male harassment, but rather as men who allegedly did nothing wrong but were fired without any evidence.
