nah you're wrong I actually just got off the phone with him he said he doesn't know who you are and told me it was 66% effort.

You're all liars. He only communicates over AIM.
He does not even have a cell phone.
I am the one don’t weigh a ton don’t need a gun to get respect up on these streets
It was a 73.1% effort btw.
Those of you on the west coast, if you look out your windows, may be able to see the smoke signals Cole just sent me. They indicate he was relaxed and wearing trainers.
He ran 11:00 after finally getting vaccinated. He had such horrible side effects that he can't compete at the top level anymore. RIP his career.
So an 8:05 3k if he's in that Hocker zone. 7:59 - 8:04 if he wasn't.

8:30-ish. Super chill. About 80% effort.
Running to feel, just staying in control, staying in the moment, not pushing the envelope.
New Gen YouTube broadcast?
I'm a coach at Nike working exclusively with Cole and Cooper. Cole texted me immediately afterward he said it was an 83.1892% effort. We're not happy with that result because he had to exert himself a little more than anticipated for an 8:30 but it's still early so we have a lot of room to move up and smooth things out. The main thing is I need Cole to drop about 30 pounds between now and Milrose. We're on a long term training plan where I intend for Cole to run the 800, 3000 steeplechase, and marathon at the Paris Olympics.
Unfortunately I couldn't be there in person for his time trial. I'm not allowed at Hayward Field for a while because reasons.
Ok I think most of these posts are just joking, but if anyone is looking for the legitimate story here it is (I train near the track where Cole does his workouts and was viewing, after I had ripped some easy 23mid 200s)
Hocker really just cruised the first mile in 4:40, he was basically jogging and looked hella relaxed to me. Suddenly, this weird little Ultra guy in Alphaflys (I think his name is Seth something?) hopped into the middle of lane two and just stared absolutely shouting at Hocker: “BUTTER MY BREAD! BUTTER MY BREAD! COLE I NEED YOU TO BUTTER THIS FOR ME SO BADLY”. It was weird af and I still don’t really know what he meant by it. But somehow it actually seemed to hype up Cole because he suddenly started dropping 56s and ended up splitting 3:50 for the next mile, for a finish time of 8:30.
After he crossed the line Cole joined the ultra guy and his wife(?) they all got in a van together and I think massaging took place. Not the weirdest thing I’ve seen at the track, believe it or not.
Uhhh.. bro u went a smidge too far. Cole just got to my house to play some Mario party and he said you are weird asf. Cooper is on his way with la croix
I’ll be the first to admit: I’m a boomer, so I’m not understanding all the comments. Are you all joking?
Anyway: I was actually at the facility where Cole ran his time trial. He came through 440 in 59, 880 in 2:02, and halfway in 4:06. Then all of a sudden, and I’m not kidding you, he stopped for water. “This is how we do it at Oregon,” he said, “there’s no shame in stopping during a hard effort.” I was a bit surprised by this, but he set off just as soon as he had stopped. When he crossed the line at 3200m, he threw up his hands in victory, screaming “7:59!! 7:59!!!” over and over. Everyone was going nuts. I couldn’t believe it. “You ran 8:30,” someone said quietly. Cole went dead silent and looked this guy in the eye—in fact, everyone did. “What did you say to me?” “I said you ran 8:30..” “get off my track.”
Someone dragged the guy behind the bathrooms and shot him. They f*cking shot him.
Hey guys, it's Cold Hocker here. Just wanted to say I ran about 8:32.76 and the effort was about 43.9%.
Goat post, your first paragraph threw me off too. Masterclass post
Cole needs to go for the 2 mile high school record I heard it's the "softest" of all distance records
As a Boomer who never served in the military (did protest against our involvement in Vietnam though) but apes the accomplishments of the Greatest Generation as my own. I have to say you Millennials and Zoomers wouldn’t last two seconds at Normandy.

Spoke with Cole briefly after the effort. Felt about 70% but he had a niggle in his left forearm. No need to push this early.
For MLB pitchers, a niggle in the forearm usually means TJ surgery is coming up. Is Cole lefthand?
The reality of Normandy is that in the chaos of D-Day, many of the Greatest Generation themselves found a hiding place and cowered, subject to bunkers and Rommel's forces who'd been practicing there, among other hazards. It was only a very few who took charge and found ways out and led men regardless of their rank that allowed for victory on the day, and that was with total air and naval superiority having been gained in advance.
But did he look relaxed?

I'm sure you would've been standing proudly, in a German bunker
