So ends a career of corruption and hubris. I hope the still send his son to prison.

16 years the president - worth one sentence. Tells more than 1000 words.
Mama always said, If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all.

Well, you know the expression - "if you don't have something nice to say...."
There's another saying, "You can't take it with you". But in this case, not true. Where's all that frigg'in money??
My mother taught me to speak truth to power and stand up to bullies and crooks. Diack was a crook. Privately, he can have whatever respect his family has for him, but publicly he deserves to be called out for what he was, a crook and a bully.
RIP Diack head
I’ll never forget the poster who noted that his name is an anagram for “I anal dick ‘em”
Diack invented the Diamond League and brought quite a few innovations to the genre. The TV presence of athletics as well as prize money and international reach of the sport has increased more than any other IAAF President. Yeah there was corruption but that is the way big sports works. oh.. I really don't care what name's pour from the gallery. You guys don't know the inside game.
cheers.

What we know of the “inside game” stinks to high heaven. His achievements (“inventions”) are inconsequential, especially compared with the level and nature of his corruption. I am genuinely saddened that a grown man could look upon Diack and make apologies. Corruption is a plague upon this earth. It ruins careers and damages lives. We should not stand for it.
All those years here people said that African athletes were being protected by the IAAF. It turned out to be true that Diack was actually involved in a protection racket extorting Russia, Africa, Turkey, and wherever else he could get bribes.
He was racist to my friends.
Rest In Peace? More like a dirt nap that came way too late.

He was a crook only because people looked the other way. I don't believe for one second that people CURRENTLY in powerful positions LOOKED THE OTHER WAY.

Sometimes sites post a really short article as a placeholder for some breaking news and then fill it out later. Not sure if that's what they did here.
They need to get Doug Consiglio to write his obit
Emma Coburn to miss Olympic Trials after breaking ankle in Suzhou
Jakob on Oly 1500- “Walk in the park if I don’t get injured or sick”
VALBY has graduated (w/ honors) from Florida, will she go to grad school??
