Agreed.
Mantz has all the pressure on him now in the one race that matters for him. If he doesn’t win, it’ll generally be seen as a disappointment and missed opportunity. I’d rather be Nico.
Remember a few years ago when BYU imploded at nationals?
We’ll see if they peaked at the right time….
Watch out for sleeper pick St. Bonaventure they’re looking strong rn!
Right. They got in when NAU decided to boycott because BTU was running a bunch of seventh-year sophomores.
BYU
I noticed no McArthur for Colorado or Venters for Utah today? Hope they're not badly injured or that anything else is terribly wrong and get to race nationals. Impressive that CU did so well without one of their top 5, but really surprised Utah left their low stick out of regionals.

A lot of people sat - Tyynismaa (AL), Gear (AR), Steelman (NC St), Orton (BYU),Parson and Cohen (NM), Ramirez (OK St), Miniutti (CO) (so 2 of their top 5). I think coaches did the math and knew what they could do

For Colorado- From the article linked to below, a Coach Wetmore quote makes it sounds like both McArther, as well as their #5 (in at least the last 2 races) , frosh Hannah Minuitti, are OK, and were just rested Friday.
