LetsRun sleuths, did Chelsea Clinton really run NYC Marathon in 3:59:09 today under a fake name?

If you go to the results page there is a person "Anonymous" who finished in 3:59:09 but they don't let you see their splits. Everyone else at 3:59:09 you can see their splits when you click on their name

She looks like she can run that. And she is Type A disciplined like many runners. I think it's lame she's paranoid enough to run under Anon though, unless there's a legit security issue.

If you haven't figured out that Democrat leaders play by different rules than everyone else by now, I don't know what to tell you...

“Fast” is relative. All runners including those who walk portions of it are “real” runners. Why would you think sub-4 is beyond her? It is “mass”, not sub-elite, after all. Sub-3 would have been surprisingly good but still not suspicious. We don’t know anything about her training or fitness.

If you haven’t figured out that this is not at all limited to Democrats, I don’t know what to tell you. This is the way it has always been for leaders in all societies. This is the way it will always be.

If this is validated, Chelsea gives me hope. Someone asked me what I could run a marathon time in and I said, "Wow I don't know. I may not even be able to break 4 hours." If Chelsea can do it, then I assume I could as well.

The RW article says Christy Turlington Burns ran 4:01 at 52. THat also give me hope.

Where can we find her splits? Why can't we see her splits after the fact? There is no security issue after the fact.

It looks like they will eventually post finish line video at the following link.

Maybe someone could find her bib number that way. What wave did she start in?

Business leaders, politicians, celebrities—many of them run under pseudonyms, frequently coordinated with the race. Oftentimes they then have their name converted back after the fact. People who are being stalked also sometimes do the same (frequently minus the “converted back” part). This definitely doesn’t seem “worthy of a DQ” to me, especially if it was coordinated with NYRR (which it almost certainly was).

The reactions in this thread show why some people need to run under aliases. I have a friend who isn’t even famous, but he does so bc he has an important job in the federal government.

Titling tin has been a runner for a while. Anyone who is remotely fit and not obese can run a 4-hour marathon. It is more impressive the older you are, however.

I did Rock N Roll AZ a few years ago and ran near Krysten Sinema for most of the race. Her result was listed near mine. Of course back then she wasn’t the controversial figure she is now.

You see her finish in the green shirt and black hat (that she's wearing in her tweet) towards the right (stage left for the runners) of the finish line near a guy in a black shirt. She finishes and is immediately greeted by race management, and her husband and is swept away fairly quickly.

I can't say why the results are wonky, but she definitely ran sub 4:00. I thought this was going to be some difficult sleuthing.

Probably all taxpayer funded Controls, on a closed down, taxpayer funded street.

Seems like complete fraud, waste and abuse, if you are looking for a completely objective view.

What if we can verify that Chelsea and Christy both know how to correctly use a spellchecker? Imagine the collective hope spread across LRC.

Sub 4 is a legit effort and would have required a serious training block. I wonder if she trained principally on a treadmill indoors or if she trained outdoors which would have entailed some secret service accompaniment
