Looking at the schedule because of Covid things are more spaced out between waves this year. The last wave goes off at noon instead of 11 am in 2019. The sun sets at 4:45 on Sunday. Anyone think this might be an issue?
Sure some stragglers usually finish in the dark but a lot of runners don't make it under 5 hours. Granted the waves and field size are smaller this year but just giving a quick glance I think over 30% of the field last time finished in over 5 hours. Not sure how many of those were in the last wave but we could have a few thousand runners finishing in the dark.
I've always wanted to see a major marathon run at night but this isn't how I envisioned it:)
