I wanna train like an Ingebrigtsen and figure my best bet is to follow the oldest bro as I am a super hobbyjogger - LRC certified.
I have found out that a training week goes something like this:
Mon: Easy 12 km
Tues: Fartlek. 1 km (ca halfmarath-pace) - 500 m jog. Times 8. Warmup 2 km. Cooldown 2 km.
Wed: As Mon.
Thurs: 8-10 x 1 km.
Fri: As Mon.
Sat: 3 x 10 min. or 3 x 3 km.
Sun: Long Run
Total volume: 90-95 km
Now to my questions.
- How long rest interval should I have on the Thursday session? And at what pace should I run? Half-marathon?
- How long rest interval should I have on the Saturday session? And at what pace should I run? Half-marathon?
Also, they talk about running on "mölla" ("löype på mölla). I have no idea what this means. Maybe my Norwegian brothers n sisters can help me understand this phrase.
