The weather might be a problem. Not really perfect conditions.

Yes. In perfect conditions it might be 2.01 - 2.02, but that is wishful thinking.
I hope I'm wrong and the temperature, humidity and wind speed are somewhat lower than forecast, but it's doubtful.
Bekele don't make excuses about the weather.

You’ve been scooped. So much for being a journalist

You got it. Remember Adola?
Nope, and there’s a reason why you don’t…
You never know with Kenny B anymore. He must be doped up to the eyeballs again based on that forecast.
I hope he is in great shape, but even if this is the case he needs perfect weather and pacing.
I wish he moved to the marathon in his late 20’s.
KB definitely the greatest distance runner we have seen…

Not perfect but probably doable.
60-61 at the start (15.5C) . 66 at the finish (19C), Dew Point 59 (15C). 7-8 mph winds.
Ideally it would be 15 degrees cooler.
Good luck to Bekele!
But the real question:
Could he break 13 on a 5k XC course
Kenenisa is the best runner who has ever lived. Kenenisa has NO CHANCE at running 2:01 at age 39. It simply will not happen. Even with the shoes.
