True comic legend RIP... Norm once said Gambling is the only disease in which you can possibly win a whole bunch of money because of illness.
He was one of my favourite comics of all time. In his Netflix show, the interviews with Chevy Chase and Drew Barrymore were phenomenal. Jane Fonda too. At the end of each episode he and his sidekick sang a song that no doubt puzzled all his guests but will tickle Canadians of a certain vintage, a nod To the comic genius of Wayne and Shuster from decades earlier when he was a kid.
So many good memories of great laughs from a truly funny and brilliant observer of humanity.
Norm was a great comedian. A while back there was a thread about great comedians and many were just plain unfunny. Very niche, boring, formulaic comedians. Coupled with the lack of hits on this thread, it’s easy to see why LRC enjoys the many unfunny trolls with no originality.
So sad. He really was a comedy genius. One example: doing a ventriloquist act on the radio:

Great point. (I would summarize your post as "Seth Myers is the anti-Norm MacDonald.") It is amazing how much respect Norm received from the comedy community even though he was right of center from what I could tell - he was one of few comedians that stood up to cancel culture. His two sitcoms were also pretty funny - even the one with Fred Willard that was cancelled after a couple of episodes
