So when Gjerts pupil Narve Gilje Nordås runs 3.31-3.32 10 days from now he is on drugs too? 3.36.23 last year.
My god, the people who post here but clearly don't understand this sport.
You think 3.36 to 3.31 is even remotely on the same level as 3.36 to 3.28? Do you even know how many humans in history have run 3.28? Do you know some names of guys that tried to but couldn't? (hint: one is the head of World Athletics and won back to back Olympic golds in the event)
Do you think that because athletes can go from running 4.10 to 4.00 from one season to the next quite easily that one should be able to go from 3.35 to 3.25?
So going from 3:34 to a hypothetical 3:32 in one season isn't really comparable to going from 3:36 to 3:28 in one season is it? Maybe you are on drugs too if you can't see that.

Hey dumbo, KaareV is Norwegian and his post is in support of Narve.

Narve doesn't need any support if he runs 3.32 bettering his PR by 2 seconds in a super fast race for many reasons (precedent being top of the list as in hundreds of elite world runners made this jump in their careers). Now if he goes out and runs 3.28 what would you think? Normal stuff? To put that in perspective, it would be more believable than a 3.36 runner suddenly ripping off an all-time top 17 performance. Which funnily enough is the crux of the entire discussion here.

You mean he is saying Narve is as 'clean' as Katir?
KaareV has made numerous doping apologist posts as far as I can remember, accusing me of racism, and making clear he is another of the "who cares who is doping" people here that are an example of survivorship bias when it comes to current track fans (most fans having left the sport due to the doping).

Either you are very dumb or I am very dumb.
I think KaareV is saying that Narve is as clean as Jakob. And he is a huge fan of Jakob. After all, Narve is coached by Gjert Ingebrigtsen.

I think it's the latter. KaareV was replying to the first post of this thread.

Not thar it matters all that much but you misread his last year’s pb (not 34.70 but 36.23). 34.70 is his new pb this year…
Fun fact: Narve has previously characterised himself as “totally without talent” ! But I also think he can improve a couple of seconds more this year… Saying that I think his sweet spot is the 3 and 5000m -love to see him crush some Ingebrigtsen! (Being coached by Gjert and all…)
Narve looked superb in Bergen Saturday, won 3000 comfortably in 7.43 with a last 53 lap - where he only turned on the turbo with 320 meters left. Could have done 52 low.

Where do you guys come from, seriously.
Some logic please. I have not written what you think I think. I posed a question. So why try again. At what point is it doping and at what point not. In your mind not at 3.31, so what about 3.30 or 3.29? And your 4.10-4.00 and 3.35-3,25? Do you think yourself that it is relevant? That you can read it into my few lines? Logic again. You can't.
