I’m torn between 3. Not sure which to go with for 8k races this year.
- Nike Matumbo 3
- Nike Victory XC 5
- Saucony Carrera XC 3
Courses are mostly fair, a lot of golf courses. What would you choose and why?

Not that important, not much technology to Xc spikes
Carrera Xc 3
I tried on the victories, and they were just too futuristic, the upper was so thin it will rip really quick, and they were really hard to get on. I just went with something more normal, the brooks draft xc.

This is the problem with a lot of nike racers. They are designed to tear after a few races or even a single race and a few weeks of workouts!
Otherwise, you might use the same spike for 2 seasons!
I haven't tried the other two, but the Matumbo 3 would be a great choice. I haven't used them for an XC race, but used them for a longer grass workout at 5k-10k pace and it was one of my best workouts ever. They have more protection than both of the XC spikes I would assume. If I had a golf course race coming up, I'd wear them over true XC spikes most likely. You couldn't go wrong with the other two options as well.
Get the matumbo if you only race on a golf course, if not then get the XC5 in a half or full size up. Great upper that doesn't hold any water at all and is very breathable. Idk about the carrera XC3, but i know the 4 is an amazing spike worth trying out. Out of those three though, I'd pick one of the Nikes
