Somebody asked last week: at which distance between 800 and 5000 does Niyonsaba beat the world's best? The answer then was two miles, this 3000 should give her a slightly bigger advantage
My prediction: 8.23 low and top 20 all-time
El Bakkali vs Kipruto in the 3000m Steeplechase.
I read about this yesterday.

That's what stood out to me among the entire list. I had no idea we'd see Kipruto.
Same strong field in the women's 100. Those three Jamaiicans are taking it everywhere.
Clayton Murphy continues to enter but no sign of Hoppel or Jewitt in the 800. Jewitt seemingly needs more experience at international level.
The women's 400 hurdles field looked surprisingly weak. Then I noticed one of the reasons...Femke Bol is running the flat 400.

I say sub 8:20
El Bakkali sux, let's go Kipruto. Hope he somehow wins
The men's 3kST is stacked

She could break the World Record at 1500

Paris meeting: 28/08/2021: What I find bizarre is that the meeting is being run in the early afternoon when temperatures are still potentially quite high in Paris.
I checked the weather prediction for Saturday and they are predicting around 72 Fahrenheit and 60% humidity which is not ideal for distance running as the women’s 3000 m will be held at 1624 example and the men’s steeplechase not much later than that so it’s an “afternoon meeting” when conditions are not optimal for distance times.
Counterintuitive.
Now, if they run well despite this so much the better.
Programme 2021. Paris Saturday, August 28, 2021
Local times. Even the men’s 3000 m steeple chase run at 17:34 (5.34pm) is quite early and potentially problematic with still quite high temperature and somewhat windy.
Anyways, hopefully despite these disadvantages the runners will perform well. But I’m scratching my head about the times. Makes no sense to me. To me this meeting should be run at night for optimal results especially in distance running.

Is it on live tomorrow? Maybe only Peacock? Not seeing it on NBCSN.
