Is there a chart anywhere outlining where the various elites are racing this fall? It'd be interesting to see a comparison of where runners are competing.

How do you feel about Rojo thread highjacking you
Is this kind of a career crossroads for huddle? Been a while since she has run well. I know there have been injury issues, but if this does not go well could this be the end for her?
By battle, you mean trail all the way to the finish? There are c-list Ethiopians and Kenyans who wouldn't make their Olympic teams who are far and away better than these Yanks.

Maybe more of a crossroads for Jordan Hasay than Molly Huddle, honestly. Huddle is in a place where she can probably get into pro fields consistently (similar to Jared Ward) without too many expectations riding on her performance. Hasay probably has more to prove to race directors and to Nike.
Who?
Is Hasay still considered elite?
kind of boring American men's field.
The debuts of Jemal Yimer (58:33) on the men's side and Caroline Chepkoech (65:07) on the women's are exciting. If the weather is favorable, we could see course records go down.
I hope Edna Kiplagat has a good day and schools the world.
Seems about as good as Boston could hope post Olympics. Feel like there's a lot of elites this year. I feel like a lot of that comes from larger than normal American fields. A lot of domestic elites haven't run a marathon since the Trials or since The Marathon Project. Seems like they locked down a lot of big names. Will be interesting to see who NYC & Chicago get.
Boston's strength has always been identifying the up and comers. Debuts of future studs is where Boston shines. And they get those runners because Boston can sell a low appearance fee on the basis of "a win in Boston sets you up for life and will get you an invite anywhere in the world"
So you shouldn't expect the best of the best here anymore. Not when London and NY are competing for elites and now both London and Tokyo compete for elites each spring.

No, happy to share. By the weekend I will start my profile thread. Look out for that. Tough decisions at the top. If you were quick in 2013 or 2016 does it follow that the super shoes improve your time?

I think I remember Yimer having a run in Valencia last Dec. Must have had a DNF.

Kipchoge
I have been wondering that. Same for Hasay.

Three top three's at majors in the last 5 years. Had a poor 2020. Yes, in the mix here. It is weaker at the top than 2019 here, IMHO.
