I don't think so. It looked like there was slight contact or Rupp was too close because Eliud made a gesture like "do you want to lead". He didn't take off right away but you could see his brain ticking away wondering whether he had enough in the tank to put the hammer down at that point and not have to deal with him. Within the next minute you could see Rupp starting to drop. And he did not fade much. Just everyone else was able to increase pace.

Think what changed was the pace. Rupp just didn't have that gear shift.
Galen Rupp definitely smells like old cheese
