Gold is about as well as someone his age can do. In 4 years the current gold medalist will still be his same age.

Hocker is a 3:35 guy, Rupp is a 2:09 marathoner and Bekele is a 4:01 miler
Look we all agree Hocker is a dumba$$ 'snowflake"...no need to repeat what I wrote.

Mega cringe. You’re a sorry specimen.
You sound mad that Cole MF Hocker, the unvaccinated is a greater runner than you’ll ever be

good thing he risked not getting vaxxed for a 6th place finish.......idiot
Awww poor baby afraid of the evil boogieman disease.
You know he had Covid earlier this year right? You know having Covid offers similar immunity to getting the vaccine? In my country of residence, he wouldn't even be allowed to get the vaccine yet because he's less than 6mo out from having the virus.
But sure, don't be logical or scientific just so you can follow the mob. I guess it makes you feel better about yourself?

Precisely lol. Bekele closes multiple 5,000s in sub-5:00… still a 4:01 open guy.
For real though who is Hocker going to join? If BTC I’m looking for a bridge. (Kidding)

I sure hope Bekele can close multiple 5ks in under 5:00.
Just stick with Ben Thomas and go pro IMO. Safe move and go with what works. Why have an unnecessary “adjustment” period with BTC/Pete Julian when clearly he’s getting better every month.
Yes Hocker is a 3:31.40 guy now. There’s an upside beyond that for a Monaco type race but this was pretty darn perfect besides the rounds in his legs. Wonder if he’ll even race again this year.

actually, studies have gone to show that having covid generates 20-40x the antibodies that the vaccine does. hmm.
yea, im not really sure what team would be a good fit. it might be just a shoe deal and he stays on with ben thomas. i wouldnt be surprised if he continues to train with coop and maybe some other oregon guys. they could easily find some other world class training partners too. i really doubt he would go to btc and there really isnt another team that is quality enough...unless...not that i think this is a good move, but kerr is probably the only 1500 guy training in america that is better. going to have to cut spence to make room lol.
Obviously going to BTC as he needs a team where he can continue his doping regime and they have proven dopers there.
How many times has he been tested in the last 2 years?

Is he really though? Is jacob really a 3:28 guy, is Kerr really 3:29?
Whether it's the track or the shoes, who knows, but it's certainly not that we are getting different calibre of athletes. El G, Coe, Ovett, Cram, Webb, etc were all in a different league. They just weren't blessed with trampoline tracks and incredible shoes. The sad part is, there will be an * to all these times in my mind as WE ALL KNOW, that it's shoes, track or a combo making these athletes. And, certainly in a couple of instances, some special juice. Run 3:28 in difficult conditions, at 20 years old and you aren't event tired? Come on!
At some point we must accept improvements in tech. It might be true that a 3:28 today is not the same as a 3:28 30-40 years ago, but we will see records and performances evolve regardless. Are we not to credit the greats that came before the 80s as being in the same class as those you listed?
The greatest of every era should be respected. They are the best our species has to offer in their disciplines.
