Dutch woman, Klaver, must have split a high 22 first 200 meters there! May have set her 200 p.r. in route. Uibo thru in 1st. Hayes still has the 2nd q from Heat 1. Felix up now in 3rd and last Heat.

Has a mom ever made a 400m final? Impresssive
The 2 old ladies, McPherson & Felix advance, both well under 50 flat.
All the finalists under 50. Looking like no medals for usa. Felix still got some ginger
So done with Felix hope she doesn't medal.
There's a MOM in the final ... and her name is Quanera Hayes. That's right, NBC, Quanera Hayes.

Have to agree as I've come full circle on this. Too bad we can't share the wealth a bit more, but it's not Felixs' fault. /. All 400 Meter finalists in with sub 50s!
With all 3 USA women here in Steeple final, why do I feel it'll be a stretch to get just 1 on the podium???
W400M Semifinals - First 2 and 2 fastest qualifiers

1. Paulino- Dominican Republic 49.38 Q
2. McCleod - Jamaica - 49.51 Q
3. Gomez - Cuba 49.71
4. Hayes - USA 49.81
Heat 2
1. Miller-Uibo - Bahamas - 49.60 Q
2. Williams- UK 49.97 Q

Heat 3.
1. MCPherson - Jamaica 49.34 Q
2. Felix- USA - 49.89 Q

Observations: Miller-Uibo leg is strapped and she was breathing hard. Felix looked easy. I expect her to run 4th. All other USA competitors looked sluggish. Paulino and McPherson looked the easiest of all.
Courtney to the front, all 3 USA women look good. almost 2K in. 1 K to go.
holy cow Courtney is ballin

Thought she might pull it off for awhile there! Insane run. 8:55 shape????
Coburn was struggling before the fall. I've never seen her have a bad race until today.
Chemutai with a 9:01 win for Uganda, Kiyeng the Kenyan 3rd.
