Different kind of fall. Hers was "The fall from grace".
She could fall either way.

Your memory is selective. Runners have been falling at a consistent rate forever. Your memory is just getting patchy.
Eamonn Coghlan fell at World Indoors. If the Chairman of The boards can fall, anyone can.
The fact so many of you can remember when it happened in the past showed that it was generally the exception and there were years between a decent fall. Now I don't know if I'm also watching the diving competition when I'm watching track. There are quite a few clueless runners out there. Fast but dumb.

Isn't that called lying down on the job?
And yet more runners take a fall in the first women's 1500 semi. The commentators said there has been a fall in almost every track race longer than 1 lap. Either runners don't know how to race or the fields are too big. Or both.

Says the guy who never raced on the track.
So now Lewandowski, Amos, McGee, Hassan, don't know how to race. Ridiculous.

Then you have no explanation for why there is a fall in almost every race in these Games, whereas in the past falls in a championship were rare - so rare we remember most of them. I also say this as someone who raced on the track. But facts won't be your forte.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
