just missed this. thanks!
does anybody know if you can smartcast the cbc stream to television? I'd rather not watch on my computer.
Thanks. Great group.
Remember Backley from my time in the UK
Michelle Carter: “We gotta make sure to get that qualifying mark!”
Duh.
Get the stream on your computer and use an HDMI cable to connect to your flatscreen TV.
NBC should give Nick Symmonds a shot
What about Merber? He’s good.
But I agree with most that Goucher is surprisingly good and Montano is horrific. I didn’t know it was her and spent several races trying to figure out who the first we 800 runner was that was so frigging bad on the mic. Dreadful.
The covert racism in this thread is strong. Well done Letsrun.

This just shows you can not please a lot of people. I haven't seen race mentioned once.
Why don't you say they are sexist too? But I've seen people of all races and sexes criticized in this thread. If you have a problem with a specific post please email me
wejo@letsrun.comBut speaking of racism, I don't even think it's racist, but was this really said and by whom or are you trolling?

Tim Hutchins - Great. The other guy is also good but these other women have got to go. I just saw a South Korean high jumper clear a height and the woman said, “ It’s always good to do well in front of the home crowd.” Another called Isaiah Jewett, Isaiah Giles in the 800 semi.
After being so enthusiastic about the OBS crew, I heard John Anderson let loose with a 'Czechoslovakia' during introductions of one of the heats of the women's 1500.

mistakes are acceptable. just have a solid understanding and vocabulary for the events you are covering.

Talking over Hutchins, used worn out phrases, the list goes on and on.
The Olympics deserve better commentators. These women (Richards Ross, Montoya, Carter) we’re all great athletes but they are not adding a thing to the broadcast and are in fact making it difficult to watch.
I agree with you on two of them. Sanya Richards-Ross is good at her craft though. She makes insightful comments and articulates her point of view very well. So, disagree on that one. The other two suck BIG TIME. I. just. can't.
Yeah, or maybe NBC should train former deca/heptathletes so they have some first hand knowledge of most events...
