This is what it looked like to me - he tripped himself.

Let's see what Magi has here.

That was insane. Idk who’s fault it is but feel for both. They would have been very in it at the end
I was able to loop it on the Canadian stream, I watched it up close three times in a row, outside angle and you could see jewett's knee get hit perfectly inconspicuously by Tukad foot, it was very shocking to me to see cuz I thought something else would cause the fall.
But they had a really clear angle on it, I'd be surprised of Jewett didn't have Spike marks on his right knee.
That cost is right foot to hit the ground faster than they expected and he lost control of his body which took him down and then Amos.
Thanks for the insight. What is the rules, does Amos get considered a casualty or can he get back in? Devastated for them

Someone need to tell the clueless female announcer that South Korea isn’t part of Japan. She states that it is an advantage for the SK HJ finalist to compete at home.
you know, those people
That French dude’s hair is hilarious 😂
I thought rai looked better too, but it can be deceiving. Warholm's strength is incredible, so who knows what his final 100 can look in comparison when they are both full go.
It’s awesome to see a Jamaican in the 800m final. You gotta imagine he started as a sprinter as a youngster, right?
How many 22.xx second 200m runners do you think there are ok that island that could be trained to be 46 second 400m guys or 1:43 800m guys? Just an incredible pool of natural speed.

I don't think so because I doubt Van Niekerk chose Lane One in Rio. It's usually based on time; 4-5, 3-6, 2-7, and 1-8
I meant Lane 8.
i think i read somewhere that the finals is a random draw for 3, 4, 5, 6 between first 4. im not sure. would love clarification.
Rai and De Santos both look so smooth compared to Warholm… however I still think the final is completely open between the top 3 and maybe 4 with Samba. No style points are given
Rojas wins with a WR, as expected.
What channel is this mornings track coverage on???? I cannot find it live.

Rai has the fastest flat 400M by some measure.

It really got to make us see it, I was rooting for Jewett, and I was hoping he didn't cause it, so he might make an appeal and get pastor to the final.
I was shocked when I saw it I mean it's so subtle, it's like The perfect Storm it just forces his right foot down before he's ready and down he went.
Got a famous too it would have been a fantastic final. One of the best ever.
Who knows maybe they'll advance them both through? That'd be crazy.
Sorry for dictation text typos

jewett seemed to be well behind the man in front of him. i don't see how this is anybody but Nijel's fault
I just did a slow mo replay/rewind. As rotich moved up to the outside, Amos moved in towards the rail. That took the very small room he gave to Jewett. Amos's knee brushed Jewett's toe, but it was enough to take Jewett down.
That's what happens when Jewett decides to change things up and not run from the front like he had been.

sure, but at some point strength overtakes speed.

I'm sure this will upset people but back in the 40's and 50's when Jamaica was under British control they actually were very competitive in the 400/800...as good and sometimes better than the US. But once they became independent they stopped producing runners at those distances. Britain, always known for middle distance running was training them at the longer sprint races.

I didn't know you could share a medal. In HS we'd have a jump off.
Great scenes as Barsim and Tamberi agrees to share the gold.
