Verified on strava. It’s easy to find. More proof that Brosnan isn’t some miracle maker. Just really hard training with talented, dedicated kids.

High mileage, vO2 workouts, hard tempo runs, some sprinting, quality long runs, some doubles, good to go.

It’s the same reason American fork, great oak, south lake carroll, Manlius, etc are dominant year over year.

Some have fake names on Strava, but it looks like most are now locked down (Dude McDude and Mr Burger were a couple of them). If he really wanted to prove he knew what he was doing, he and the team wouldn't try and hide it. Instead of claiming people are making up training plans, why don't you tell us what you did when you were there?

Han Solo is right on the mark - talent + hard work = success. It's not a secret formula. The same teams are at the top for years because they know how to get good kids to work hard.

You are mistaken. I found the log on strava that the OP was referring to and verified it last night. What he and Han Solo have posted is correct.

Completely untrue. This is not NP’s training, but knock yourself out if you want believe it.

This training log post took a lot of effort. The original poster gets an A+ for effort and a F for truth.

No shot they do all the reps from 2000m down to 400m at 2 mile pace that’s an idiotic workout

So why don’t you prove them wrong and tell us what the training actually is?

Brosnan is very open about his training but I would guess he stays away from the MB’s because of posts like this.

If you think you can just post training on here and it will make sense then maybe that’s the problem. It’s not that simple. I reached out to Brosnan and he was very generous with his time and training.

My advise is to reach out to him directly instead of reading a bunch of made up posts.

Maybe I was lucky, but when I reached out to him he was very easy to speak with and we specifically spoke about championship season in cross country. He keeps notes in a notebook and on excel sheets. He shared both with me. It’s not my place to share them on here with everyone, but it’s ridiculous how people make crazy assumptions about Newbury Park’s program and coach. I almost did the same thing but I decided to reach out to him myself. I’m very glad I did. Otherwise I could of been another Hateful keyboard worrier instead of learning some very cool things to help my team.

Why do you assume he’s telling you the truth vs an actual Strava account of a team member? His track record isn’t sterling as he tends to make things up and exaggerate ala 9x all American, being recruited by Arkansas out of high school and his supposed relationship with Salazar and Schumacher.

Those who know him say he is obsessed with the MB's, posting under countless names (probably even NP alum) and spending way too much time getting the mods to delete negative posts and trying to find out who posted them.

I was at a bunch his practices in the summer and the fall. None of his guys do those workouts. We still chat now. Say all the lies you want. There is a reason his teams are so good year after year and people take sh*#.

You obviously don’t know him and sound very immature. He knows a lot of great coaches and is becoming the greatest HS coach as he is producing results never seen before.

Whenever someone does great things it becomes the norm for the hacks to criticize to feel better about themselves instead.

His guys don't run 4 mile tempos?

They don't run repeat 400s?

They don't run repeat 800s?

They don't run repeat miles?

They don't run strides?

They don't run long runs?

Interesting. I guess we should listen to you. The athlete on the team must have faked his strava.
