This is a duplication of another thread on this same race but this time focusing on Julien Wanders. Julien had a great track season in 2019 including a fabulous 2717 for 10,000 m but 2020 and 2021 have been disasters for Julien. Any explanation?. Is he over trained in Kenya? Rumor has it he suffered from COVID-19 back in March and that has had an effect on his running. We empathize and we feel sad because we know how much this Swiss Frenchman loves his running and dedicate his whole life to 100% including having a Kenyan wife and electing to make ITEN his home.
His parents are famous musicians in Geneva and he could’ve chosen a bourgeois lifestyle in Switzerland so this is all the more disappointing for him. Hopefully he will bounce back on the roads in the fall and we are all waiting for him to make a marathon debut and we believe that will be before the end of the year according to guru Canova.
