So close.. tragic
So close.. tragic
Same. This sucks.
Heartbreaking.
This might be the most appropriate time for a "Goes Home Devastated" thread in LetsRun history.
She wasn't close at all. She was in over her head going with Coburn and Frereichs. She was out of control on every hurdle, a fall was imminent. She ran a dumb race and paid the price.

Why is it heartbreaking? I am not mocking you. Please explain.
So sad :(
Same :(
She missed qualifying by 9 seconds. Did it really matter? Did she fall again on the last lap?
She was in fourth at the final water jump, I though. What happened after that?

Gave up I think.
Looked injured... she seemed to be limping a little across the finish line. I think she landed hard on either her hip or her wrist. An absolutely heartbreaking situation. Hopefully, she'll be ready to make the team in 2024.

She will be 31...hopefully she keeps the fire burning until 2024.
Too tired chasing the top two and hit the hurdle. It happens.
She can just go back to taking about "chicken noogies" on $hitty track meet broadcasts.
I agree that she was probably in over her head going with Coburn and Frerichs, I give her credit for trying that tactic but she likely would have made the team had she played damage control on the rest of the field. I’d like to see more of her, she’s talented.

Lol midair, checkers-player take.
Val ran a smarter race and was 3rd on time coming in.
Steeplechase is becoming more challenging so nothing is given in 2024. The good thing it’s only 3 years away.
Why is it more heartbreaking for her than other people that got 4th?
O'Connor made a IDIOTIC decision to try running with two of the fastest runners ever. She was safely in third, she should have known she couldn't keep up with Courtney and Emma.
She bit off more than she could chew. Her form and her fitness were not strong enough to hurdle running 70 second laps. It wasn't bad luck that she fell, it was her own damn fault for being STUPID.
Falland caught her trailing foot. She was working very hard to stay on Courtney and Emma, her arms were kind of flailing. She was too deep in the well.
