Well, yeah. Rupp. He could have won that race but chose not to.
What is wrong with you people?

That's true, but can you think of another 3 from that field that would be more competitive right now? The 3 best guys made the team.

You sir are mental. Any race that Rupp has any chance of winning, he goes full steam ahead. That, yes THAT, was his best effort yesterday and he'd admit it himself. If he had any chance for top 3, then the finishing results would have him there today, but he didn't.

I don’t know why you don’t think these guys can compete for top ten. Kincaid is a 12:58 guy (normal shoes). Fisher is 13:02 or whatever and Klecker 13:06 and getting better all the time.
Obviously none of them are Rupp level, or Dothan the year he got 6th in 27:22 in the heat, but they are all potential top 10 guys.
Are we sure kincaid’s 12:58 was normal shoes? Is it possible that they were the dragonflys just not released yet
(Either way he’s really good though, I’m not disagreeing with you)

This is a great 10k team. Klecker, Kincaid, and Grant mf Fisher. Very very happy with Fisher making it.
This is an awful 10000m team. They will be lucky if anyone makes the top 10 in the Olympic Final. The shoes have changed things. These guys have no chance. However congrats to them for making the team. Well done.
Was he wearing the super shoes or crossfit shoes? Does On make super spikes?
Hard to say, "Minnesota proud" when an individual leaves MN soon after high school graduation and rarely returns to the state. You can say, "Minnesota proud" about Prince, Kent Hrbek, Joe Mauer, might as well claim Harry Peter Grant even though born in Superior, WI.

No. When it comes to Olympic trials, athletes don't just "decide" they don't wanna win. The top runners are there to make the team. Rupp is not in shape to make the team, it has nothing to do with a conscious decision not to run faster.

Good point. I don’t know. I’ll have to go back and look at the photos.
I really like Kincaid. Probably the most talented guy to ever come out of Colorado. A little injury prone but immensely talented.
Also just noticed my “Dothan” typo. Lol.

I've driven through Superior, WI and Duluth , MN. They're twin cities. So "yah hey der" let the Square Head state claim Peter Grant as one of there own.

Someone who is competitive on the world stage doesn't chose to not win, given the opportunity to do so, but thanks for playing. You sound like an idiot.

Why would he choose not to win another US championship?
Did anyone catch what Klecker yelled out loud at the bell lap just as he passed Ben True?
