I might just do 400 meter intervals twice a week, and do away with all other types of workouts. It seems 400s are perfect all around. Great milers like Eamonn Coghlan sweared by 400 meters and look at his abilities. Thoughts?

6-10x400m at mile pace one day and 16-20x400m at 5k pace on another day and it could workout pretty well for you.

It might work out pretty good but I'd keep an eye on the calories. You might get fat from the reduced exercise time.
Why not? See how it goes. Take plenty of rest on the days you do mile pace 400s though. It's a long time until anything important comes up.
I decided on the Jumbo method. 6 x 400 and 10 x 400, 800 and mile pace respectively. Good rest.
How much time should I run for the rest of the days?
