12:48. Take it to the bank. Olympic gold coming---easy.

12:48.45 ftw in Florence
Faster than Mourhit, a 14 second jump... According to the anti-Africans he is logically a doper.
What’s up with JC?
He ran 13:02 with a last lap of 53 in 2019. Combine that with his 3:28 and 7:26 from last year and it was obvious he could break 12:50.
Absolute balls of titanium
Obviously the shoes and not even peaking yet, if he was at a full peak with the shoes he would be at 12;32.

Yes, I agree it was a matter of time. But it's great he did it in a win. Granted, missing Kejelcha/Barega/Kiplimo but still he took down some big names.
Everyone's on the suspected doping list. That's how drug testing works. You're guilty until proven guilty.

Nice to see him beat Gebrhiwet after losing to him last time in London. Great race for both.

Super shoes gave me one second a lap, so he ran a tad over 13 flat
He was not even all in. He could have run faster but saved his energy for a winning kick.

+1
Look at Knight and Katir.

Your meds, darling, you forgot your meds.
Big deal. Ritz ran fairly close to that and Jakob is slightly more talented than Ritz so this was not surprising.

Lucky for Jakob that Gebrhiwet ran a 26:57 10,000 m only 48 hours earlier.

56.0 last lap. So yes maybe a 12:45 is possible, but it was a pretty well-executed fast race.

Dude is an absolute monster. A beast runner.
World is lucky to be witness to such a talent.
The way he was toying with everyone indicates he can go close to the WR very soon.
