Runs down Trayvon Bromell in the final straight at the Duval County Challenge in Jacksonville. Incredible run.

Noice. Both 100 and 200 will be exciting at trials!
Trayvon broke down at the end? Maybe a cramp or injury?
TB’s not a 200 guy, he is 100-optimized. IMO mo way would he be pushing himself in a 200. If he did...bizarre.
But I doubt it.
Wait is this a world record, bolt ran 19.93 but it was the year of his 18th birthday so I believe that is counted as the U20 record. This is the year of knighton 17th birth day so I think this is the U18 record, Breaking bolts record of 20.13
What was surprising was ESPN coverage had no clue who he was. They do now. As a pro, he ain't competing against high schoolers any longer Wendy.
That form was impressive. As he grows into that long lean body of his, we will see the times drop even more. Now to work on the personality side of the equation.

Agreed, thought they would be better versed about each athlete.
Sanya Ross should have known better about Knighton. Shame on her.
ESPN needs to get its camera angles fixed. Horrible.
Great run from Erriyon. I have my eyes on him and Jaylen Slade.
Bolt ran 20.13 as a 16yo
Yep. Let's not forget about Slade. The sprint competition, both male and female, in the United States right now is fierce.

16 years and 11 months ~ 17 years old
Bolt only improved his 200m 1 second from his time run as a 16 year old. Just shows the talent he had!!!!
The great thing about the kid is he is not an obviously brute youngster who needs to develop speed endurance as he matures
He was not dominating off the turn and just rolled it through like a boss.
As he gets stronger over the first 100, he'll be devastating
it looks like the lock downs were good for most people's training, with greater focus?
also the effective training formulas seem to be out there and well shared.
we're talking about athletes, most of them, that are not on testosterone or EPO in a big way.
except for a couple of hotspots, = africa / south africa, morocco seems to have cooled off.
then there are the yet to be banned PEDs.... out there peptides, and an assortment of non-PEDs
nutritional foods used more effectively.
what I'm saying is that this generation PEDs are less a factor as compared to 1967 - 2010 era where it was pretty much wide open, where even the biggest cheats never got caught through testing...

once testing arrived in jamaica, - the end of the bolt, asafa, blake era.
no more sprinters are on the podium, nor are the top 10 lists 5/10 from jamaica...
none the less, bolt is probably the fastest guy no matter what.

and bolt stagnated for a few years after, looked like another phenom wasted, but he was actually under training (according to limited info here), which bodes well for a long carear, as you can only hit it very hard for 2 olympic cycles and then things break.
https://worldathletics.org/athletes/jamaica/usain-bolt-14201847note that bolt never ran a 100 until age 21 ish, where he ran near 10 flat in his first go, and the blot brain trust suddenly realized that he was a shoe in for #1 on the planet with work on the start and driving phases.
