She already did, counting World Championships teams.

The Germans, the mightier by the group, whew. Much like the Scottish. The dancers it’d get out there and best of luck to em
Absolutely zero. The field is so deep. So many sub 15 5,000s out there.
Olympic Team.

I enjoy watching all her YouTube content and find her very engaging, but the USA is so deep that loads of incredible runners won't make it to the Olympics - what are her chances?
when it comes to qualifying, it all comes down to finishing speed... her chances this time around are nil... I'd bet a paycheck on it ;-)

What ever happened to this steepler?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbJtYqBYCV8I forgot that song was about a runner. I think she stopped competing years ago. Did she ever get together with the dude who wrote that song?
They weren't even friends or anything .. the guy just met her at a party once and wrote a song about her. Delilah had a boyfriend at the time too lol.

The US has 3 910 runners and then a half dozen at right around 930 standard. That's a big gap. But you are also one injury away from all those half dozen people to have a legit chance to make the team.
That being said, it doesn't seem like her build up has been great.
If Coburn and Frerichs are at least 90%, they are in.
Quigley is a pretty big question mark. If she isn't 100%, she is vulnerable.
Falland is looking very strong and trending in the right direction.
Ostrander is in that 9:30ish group who could contend for the 3rd spot, but it's more crowded than ever. What Allie has shown, is that she came off a stint of cross training and ran essentially her 5000m pr.
Track and field news had her ranked 5th in '18, 4th in '19. So she is at least in the conversation for making teams. Clearly steeple is the place for her at least the next couple years, as she won't be competitive in the 5 and probably hasn't had enough training to hang in the 10.
Given the gap to Coburn/Frerichs/Quigley, and her time lost to injury, she will need some help at the trials. But all you need is an injury or a clipped barrier, right?

Quigley isn’t debuting the steeple until the trials. I predict Allie O. places ahead of her.
Could go either way, I like both of them but my money is on Quigley.
Coburn
Frerichs
Someone nobody expects
O
Squigs
Decent chance. If Conley and D'Agostino can make an Olympic team then it stands to reason Ostrander could, too.
BYU's Courtney Wayment is a strong contender for the 3rd spot.
Mel Lawrence has been consistent the last few years.

Friday's 3000SC race will determine if she is fit enough to compete for the third spot.
Colleen has been injured so there seems to be an opening amongst several women for this spot.
my darkhouse pick is wayment.
I'm wondering if Wayment will be kind of fried from the collegiate season though? She definitely is fast, but it's hard to be on top of your game from college indoors to Trials in one year

The top 2 is definitely locked down, finishing 3rd is not impossible, but she would have to run the race of her life and hope Collen is having a bad day. I just don't see Allie making a national team this year or in the next 2-3 years. Unfortunately Allie is in the choir right now and her biggest concern in new talent as 9 teens will become the norm in the U.S. pretty soon.

I love Allie and had the opportunity to see her run the state CC meet in Alaska a few years back. However, I put her chances of making the 2021 team at 0%. Her best chance would be the steeple but Coburn, Frerichs, and Quigley are simply too good for her right now. She had the opportunity to run Worlds because the US was allowed a fourth runner with Coburn as defending champion, but this is the Olympic Games and there are no bonus runners. We'll see where she is in 2024.
I have fond memories of going to the state T&F meet, a few (okay, several now) years back, to watch her destroy everyone. I want to say that her solo 3200 time was literally faster than the winning 4x800 relay time. It was awesome.
... update: it was not literally faster at state champs; she ran 10:09.72, and the relay was significantly faster in 9:27.39. I think she did beat the 4x800 relay earlier in the season at a smaller meet.

She has Zero chance of being an Olympian. She will not be top 5 U.S. women. There are up and coming steeplers. 2016 was a lifetime ago. I can't imagine her keeping any sponsors after this season. She had a nice run of it but her elite days are numbered.
