She must not be fully recovered from an injury
Let’s go grace Forbes
Crazy how USC advanced seven women onto the next round of the 400m, while BYU advanced six women into the next round of the 1500m.
I'm now curious to see how USC and Texas A&M will go in the 4x4...
Anyone know why the 100H is under protest and the 400H is under review in the West?
Chanel Brissett FS. I feel bad for her.
Yeah I wish i reviewed the footage. She was poised to make nationals

Re : Steiner
What was her injury?
After her indoor season I thought for sure she could go under 22, and had legitimate chances to win the NCAA championship and make the Olympic team.
I don't know what her injury is, she and her coach hasn't disclosed any info.
I do think she would have had a decent chance at making the team too.
Is Tara Davis out for the meet? I saw her DNS in the 100H,..

Flight 1 of the Women's Hammer in the West has to throw again tomorrow morning because the laser system failed to operate correctly. Considering the 61.52m mark that is currently 12th is not entirely unattainable, we could see some pretty pissed off coaches of athletes currently sitting in the top 12.
How in the world does that happen? How do you not realize that the laser system isn’t operating correctly after a couple throws and then you correct it? This would be like the timing system failing for an 800, but instead of recalling the race (which is bad enough), you just let everyone run the full 800 without getting a time for anyone.
This is absolutely inexcusable. I would say that someone should be fired, but because it’s track and field there’s no chance that’s happening. What a joke, NCAA.
Sarah Hendrick with Kennesaw State is so ready to explode onto the 800 conversation. We'll see how she does in the final.

It’s a shame about her injury. She seemed to be on a roll and was arguably one of the top 5-10 200 sprinters in the country. Her injury must have been pretty severe since she really didn’t compete much at all since the indoor season. Horrible timing with the trials just around the corner.

Generally, if you scratch you're out of the meet, that's why I'm asking.

Hamstring strain that was medically cleared to scratch. As long as you can get it cleared by the onsite doctor you are exempted from scratching the previous events.

Glad to have the live stream from UNF. Does anyone have a link for a live stream from the West?

Nice! thanks.
Kipsang just went 3:35.49 in the second round of 1500. Jesus.
Last q went 3:39.88. Wow.
Aaaaaaand here come the lightning delays.
Honestly, is there a good reason why the West Regionals aren't just in Sacramento every year? Having it in places like Austin or College Station with guaranteed storms just seems like a bad idea.
