More often than not, I'll mask up to be courteous or sensitive to those who are fearful of the virus.
Two people close to me, men, 44 yr old and 57 yr old have died of the virus. Their families are fearful of the virus.

Does wearing a mask for no reason hurt anyone? No. Does it deserve mockery? YES.
The value in this is they invariably try mockery in return. But in so doing, they discard their grave solemnity about the supposed medical crisis, and undermine their moral dudgeon about it. They're not serious, it's just entertainment.

It's about fear.
The whole Covid campaign has been based on fear.
Even if you are feeling fine you may be killing others.
The virus was always surging, spiking, soaring, raging, lurking, even stalking. There were epicenters and super-spreaders.
Millions were dying from it worldwide.
This had nothing to do with science, data, logic, journalism.
Pure fear mongering.
And once people are afraid, they cannot turn it off just like that

+1
Himself. His family.
Don't these people know masks don't do anything anyway?
They keep me nice and warm the first 10 mins of my run. I think in the winter I will keep wearing them this way. It turned out to be a nice perk.

That is odd, but you what's really odd? All those people who are not vaccinated being in crowds without masks.
600 people are dying daily in the US from Covid. None of them were vaccinated. They didn't think it was needed.
the way it is. wrote:

My mom's hairdresser's husband died of covid after being vaccinated. Though he'd only gotten the first shot. He did not know he had covid before getting vaccinated. Guess he barely missed the mark, and to him it felt like the vaccine killed him.
I wear one because of my allergies.

Totally different thing. Hiding under our desks was supposed to make us think we could survive a nuclear strike. They were lying but not fear mongering

Dispassion and rationality are dying sentiments in our democracy.
Some people will do exactly what the government tells them and actually think the govt cares about them. They're so oblivious to the ulterior motives and the song and dance show the governemt puts on. These individuals are predominantly stuck in their ways. These people are just beyond help, unfortunately. Nothing personal, just a matter of fact. Liberals don't like facts.

Not exactly:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_ban_on_face_coveringThat's nothing -- I just saw my fully waxed neighbor outdoors wearing a mask.
No complaints.
