It’s like if I made a track club called “Copperrunner’s track club” coached some lads to 4:10 miles and then they kicked me off of my own team and still called it CRTC, cause they wanted to run sub 4:00 miles.
I’m not the biggest fan of Tinmans training because it just really doesn’t work for me, but that’s his team and they don’t get to call it Tinman Elite anymore. Just my opinion.
This isn't accurate, and where you're wrong is exactly what makes the situation weird/complicated.
Tom DIDN'T start a club. Drew and Sam started a club named after Tom's Letsrun username while being coached by him. They, not him, did all the work establishing the club, developing the brand, creating branded video content, designing logos and merch, and building a following on social media.
On LRC of course everyone knows "tinman" = Tom, but people on here are unrepresentative even of people who loosely follow pro running. I'd bet the vast vast majority of runners who follow or occasionally check out Tinman Elite social media don't even know the name comes from their ex-coach - it's just Drew and Sam's club. Which is true because they founded started it!
Then they had a falling out with the man whose internet usrname is the club's namesake.
