He forgot his singlet in Portland, went to TJ Maxx 90 minutes before his race start time to shop for a suitable replacement, couldn't find one and went back to his hotel to grab a t-shirt, and ultimately won his race in 8:21 and secured the olympic standard for the 3k steeple. WHAT A MF WARRIOR.
I feel like okst grads tend to do as well as many other universities longterm post graduation.

That's a terrific run! Great run by the EKU guy too. Nowak's run makes the Trials a lot more interesting for the steeple.
add Sinclaire Johnson to that list . . . who happens to be Nowak's girlfriend.
Since Evan Jager lost Matt Hughes & Andy Bayer as steeple training partners over the past few years, Craig would seem to be a good candidate to get a Nike contract and join BTC after this race.

Insane result from Craig. He’s been pacing a ton of college races all over the country over the last few months, so it’s great to see him run a solid race for himself. Definitely rooting for him come trials!
Not knocking Nowak but when someone sets a personal bests that is about 28 seconds slower than the world record in a race lasting about 8 minutes that athlete is arguably not Olympic caliber.

One of the most beautiful things about our sport is that you can always measure yourself ....against your personal best. PR's are important regardless of how far from the WR they are. PR's pave the way to WR's. A fabulous run by Nowak. Maybe you should compare his time with your own PR's??

But why did you even have to say it in the first place? Nowak ran the time that was set by the AOC. Running that time deems him an Olympic caliber athlete in the eyes of the AOC. It’s not Nowaks fault the standard is slower than you’d like it to be so why do you feel the need to come on this thread and attempt to sh1t on Nowak? Why can’t we just be happy he ran a PB, that’s pretty cool in its own right regardless of whether he hit an Olympic time or not

He was faster than the qualifying standard, ergo Olympic caliber. It's a simple concept.
