Seriously, when you drill down, the suspension was based on defining whether disgruntled former NOP assistant coach Steve Magness was an "athlete" when he ingested too many vitamins. If the appeal was in front of a straight shooting American appellate judge (instead of some weird international illuminati panel), I think it would be overturned.
LOL, no.
Salazar was banned for three doping infractions; using a forbidden method (not ingesting vitamins, lol) on Magness (who did compete at that time, becoming vice state champ) was only one of them.
Unfortunately his well-deserved life time ban was reduced by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) to four years. We'll see what the international judges (some of them likely American too though) will ultimately rule.
