Hello all! Newcomer here. I have followed this thread for a little while and I finally figured there is no time like the present to join.
Male, 29, 5’11”, 153 lbs (I haven't weighed myself in a few months (years?), but every time I have been weighed since I was 16 I have between within 2 pounds of 153)
PRs: 15:30 (2013)
Goals: Beat the PBs of my youth, get faster
Next Race: Planning on Doing Some Time Trials in May (probably 5k, 10k and 2 mile)
Goal Time: No real goals. I would be happy getting close to 16 minutes.
I have been doing a build up over the last couple months loosely following Daniels 5k - 10k plans. For mileage, I have been in the high 50s, to low 60s for the last 6ish weeks. For last week:
M: 6 Easy
T: 3 Mile Tempo, 3 minute rest, 1 Mile Tempo, 1 Minute Rest, 1 Mile Tempo. Average pace: 5:45, with the last one a little faster. Total Mileage: 9.5
W: 10 Relatively Easy. 7 minutes progressing down to around 6:30.
Th: 6 Easy. 7:20 pace.
F: 10x400 at 72-73. 7 Miles for the day.
Sa: 8 Easy. 7:30 pace
Su: 14 Miles. Average 6:30 pace.
Total: 61 Miles.
