If they even want a shot at beating U of O then he better be fresh. He's also been on the up and up since the last time they faced the ducks. Ole Miss DMR ftw

You guys realize it may not even be his choice right? Or maybe he or his coach thinks if he runs a fresh DMR leg Ole Miss has a better chance of winning the DMR?
At the end of the day he's run 3:58 and we know that's likely not gonna podium with the level of talent in the mile this year, but don't act like 3:58 isn't respectable. I think it might make the DMR more interesting hopefully.

In looking at the entries, I am thinking that Brown will replace Hocker in the 1200m.
So Oregon will not be running their A team . Even with that, they will still win by 3sec...
still have Teare on the anchor. He "only" ran 3:54 when they set the record.
What an impotent soy boi little Everett turned out to be. Caves to the NCAA. Buckles to Ole' Miss administrators, and his defenders argue that he is simply following the instructions of his coach. I guess that the CEO has some bosses that he fears. Roll over and expose that belly! Good boy!!!
I bet Zach Levet could run individual events and a DMR leg.

+0 He's been pretty straightforward about being at the mercy of Ole Miss and the NCAA since the inception.

If Wesfly is a real company, he could simply stop running for Ole Miss. Surely the Wesfly athletes, such as Suliman, Romo, and Franklin, would follow him immediately? Would that not be the alpha move by the CEO???
He's always been 100% full of crap but because he says negative thing about Tinman (not Bowerman, not Oregon, not SEC schools) and you idiots think he's going to bring the heat to the entire sport.
I think the reason so many people dislike Everett is because they think he is being 100% serious. He is playing a character. Yes he is probably like that but he is overplaying it. Ever seen “Curb Your Enthusiasm”? Larry David is playing himself and he is like that in real life but the character in the show is played up to and absurd level to make it more entertaining.
Here’s another example: Ultimate Lax Bro. Very similar character to the one Everett is playing.
Don’t take wesfly so seriously and you will enjoy their videos. Dude makes me laugh pretty hard sometimes
I heard the CEO is having a medical emergency. Tiberius has been stuck up inside for multiple days now. They are both having serious repercussion because of it. Somebody help that lizard. He is stink and WESFLY has not been able to relieve himself.
Wesfly didn’t qualify for the mile or 800. It’s top 16 and he wasn’t ranked in either of those events, so I’m confused why people think he scratched the other events. He didn’t have the option to run the open mile or 800.

people are stupid and want to waffle/sheeshpost as always. Anyway, it would be alpha to qualify in those events and drop out to help the team.
isn't that what Yared Nuguse did? and Vtech went all in on the DMR one year too I believe
Wesfly has charisma and the balls to put himself out there while being funny, and I think that causes animosity because his haters are too afraid to show charisma, be bold and be themselves. As someone mentioned, he is also playing a character for the camera. This is what most YouTubers do. He has the intelligence to be witty. He is unlikely making money off YouTube but this NCAA rule is antiquated and will likely be revised or abolished soon. Good luck to him with his running and media related endeavors.

What a load of crap. He listens to his coach and you somehow think that's a weakness. And of course he caves to the NCAA. We all do. We're stuck under their rules if we want to compete at the elite level while still in college.

That defense is weak like a decaf soymilk latte, bruh! He's been straight forward about fetching slippers for paunchy grey haired old bureaucrats and the true alphas that control the money in his little itty bitty purse. He isn't even the top dog in his own pack!
Look at the facts, broski. Zach Levet dared Nike and their lawyers to come after him. Those dudes are way scarier than some fat azzed guys with swollen prostates sitting in Indianapolis. Alpha behavior!
Seth James Demoor doesn't pump himself talking shiz about other runners. He just wins races, risks COVID, plus, sells merch and YT subscriptions to support his growing family like the the true pack alpha that he is!
Who's idea was it for lil' Evie-poo to celebrate Fast Braid Friday this past weekend? Did his lady tell him it would be cute or does he worship the ground Steeple Squigs trods on? An alpha blazes his own trail and doesn't follow the scent laid down by others!
Looks like the CEO is just gonna' take what table scraps his masters give him. But he'll have some good time memories from his time in Oxford and wag his tail excitedly when he finally gets "Sales Consultant of the Month" at the Carmax location in Lithia Springs where he will be working in year or two.

Or he just loves Ole Miss and wants to represent them. And of course WesFly is real. He's building a brand right now. By building up an image he's increasing what he can do once he graduates.
Coaches have to list every athlete in the top 75? or so as either running the event or scratched from the event. Then they take the top 16 that declare they want to run. Ole Miss scratched Smulders from both the 800 and the mile. He may not have made the cut anyway but he was never going to run them because they scratched him. This is shown on the entries list with an S next to his qualifying times. Athletes that are declaring to potentially run have an A next to their times. The top 16 with As will be the entries for the event.
WESFLY ran something like 3:58.7, entries just came out and the cutoff was 3:59.04. He would have made it. This would all make sense given that it could just be saving for the DMR, but the thing that doesn't make sense is that Waleed Sulliman is entered in both the mile and 3k, why is Everett completely fresh but Sulliman is doing two other events? Sulliman is a good deal better but doesn't make sense to me.
again its just the easy way out, I wish he would have done the mile to see how he mixes up with the top college guys
Do I get chicks? Yes. Do I play lacrosse? Yes. Do I get chicks because I play lacrosse? No.
the easy way out? man... put the team above everything!

?????? daaaaamn......
You all take this kid too seriously. He's absolutely playing it up for the camera. You don't have to like his antics (I don't, in fact) but if his peer group wants to eat it up and buy WesFly merchandise then more power to him.
Many of these kids understand that they don't have to end up as a pro to make money in running. Lots of them are destine for influencer deals (look at Zach Levitt) and they're building up their persona. I would put Everett squarely in this category.
