What an epic season.
LRC note. We deleted the note about the time being adjusted down as we'd like to celebrate the occasion.

Rojo, re: Gault's tweet about Holloway being undefeated.. I thought he lost to Roberts at least once in college, or was that outdoors?
TFRRS lists him finishing 2nd in some 60h races but that is incorrect. Occasionally in the 60h, he won his heat but didn't necessaril have the fastest time in the 60h prelim but he still won the race.
He lost to Roberts a few times outdoors. Never indoors. Here are his collegiate results.

He’s a stud! Also great on the 4x4.
Will he only race the 110H at the US trials? His times and jumps from years past indicate that if he trained for them, he could potentially make the team in the LJ, HJ, 100, 200, and 400 in addition to the 110h.
Very likely the most talented track athlete in the world right now. Hopefully he also goes for the 100 or 400, as I bet he could medal.

How would he do in a multi? Any idea how he compares to Eaton?
I hope he ends up being a big star. He's definitely got charisma. Here is a great feature NBC did on him.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHdEiLWqQmUFor some reason I liked what I saw when he refused to take the “World Record” sign because the board still read 7.32–and then his big, genuine smile when it became clear he had set the mark. He’s likable.
I would pay to see Holloway vs. Warholm at 300m hurdles this year.

Perhaps not the 100 or 400, but he could make the long jump team.
Given that he hasn’t run a 100 in years, one might think not so - but he ran a few 60m races at Florida, and dropped a 6.50 and 6.51. Those are top-5 times almost every year. I’d be willing to bet his last 40 would be competitive with the top sprinters in the world.
He’s also split 43.7 in a 4x400m. So he has good strength.
And then there’s the 8+ meter LJ and 2+ meter HJ. The guy is otherworldly.

Yeah, not sure. Don’t know if he’s ever done the field events like PV/Jav/Discus.

He won NCAA's in the 60m in 6.50 and has split FAT 43.xx multiple times on the 4x400 relay. He could break 10 seconds and 44 seconds in the open 100 and 400. His LJ is great but he is more consistent in the sprints and more likely to be top-5 in the world.
His best 4x4 split is 43.75. I think sub 44 in an open 400m is a stretch. 44 low for sure. Sub 10 in the 100m is doable based on his 60m time. He has an excellent range of events.

I think sub 44 if he trained specifically for the 400m (plus just a few more years of development since that split)

I’d love to see both him and Norman do the 100m at the trials. Both of them have ridiculous range. Norman topped the world in the 100m last year with a 9.86.
But mainly I’d like to just see Holloway run the 100m because no one not named Devers has been successful in the 100/100h combo in a very long time.
