Quigley probably gave it 120% and will have a hip fracture now. Off for another season.

Fisher and McGorty looked really good. Of course Mark Scott did as well but I’ll focus on the Americans so add Joe Klecker to the trio.

Wonder what they would have run had they gone out harder? They cranked the last mile, 800 and 400. Morgan McDonald and the rest couldn’t respond and were left in their dust.

All 4 races went out slow. I expected pacers getting them on some record paces.

Nothing. It's only Feb. And who will Colleen train with going forward that will get her to the next level? This may be her peak.

Why? It's only Feb. Peaking for what is mostly a rustbuster for most people is nonsense.

Why do you even look at the results of these meets at all if they are so meaningless? Why do the competitors bother to show up?

I mean, yeah, we get it, it would be ideal to make national teams, win medals, and all that kind of stuff, but anytime there is a real meet and they put on the spikes, it MATTERS! The athletes all want to beat each other. Nobody is saying that because Quigley beat Schweizer in this race, Schweizer will never be able to beat Quigley ever again. But in this one race, Quigley had the better performance, nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe you should stick to watching only the finals in championship meets, if those are the only races that "matter".

She trained with them, same coach etc., virtually up to this race. What are you saying - the goal was to make sure you don't win otherwise you are over trained and peaked too soon? Punch yourself in the face really really hard and keep doing that until you understand the problem with your "reasoning", such as it is. By your "logic" (I know you don't understand logic) Gwen is clearly the only member of BTC who is not over-training or peaking too soon and is on track to do the best in June and July.

It just appeared to me she was really grinding hard for this one. She even said so on IG. The rest I didn't say or necessarily agree with. You just read a lot into it and got really hot about. Not sure why. If you know her, ok, defend her bc you're a good friend. If not, it's super weird.

It seems unlikely CQ will get better in a self-coached or different training situation, but I am sure she has the motivation to prove people who share the same opinion as me wrong.

How is no one going to discus Klecker wearing Nike dragonfly spikes?
