That is giving him too much credit. The words "Fauci" and "reality" cannot be used in the same sentence.
You two should come back and text when you are over 18 years of age.

Why does that matter to him? He won't be hospitalized and he won't die. That's only thing that matters to him.
He believes in "Only My Life Matters."
And that's assuming he does not secretly wish more elderly people die so that his taxes don't have to finance their SS and Medicare.

Covid lockdown proponents have small D energy
Ok. I have done as you have dictated. No measures have worked so far. Time to move onward. I have a feeling mankind will do fine. We gave survived much worse. God bless you all.
Oh look ... yet another dire warning from the leftists. He must be afraid they are going to let kids go back to school. Or afraid some small businesses might survive if we start being reasonable again.

How in God's name did Kimmel ever get on tv?
Will Fauci be at the Super Bowl?

I get Faucci has to say these things because it’s his job; but does it really make a difference at this point?
Is the socially distancing thing really news to anyone? And is anyone that was planning to go to a super bowl party really going to change their plans because Faucci said “no Super Bowl parties”?

yeah it makes a difference and a vast swatch of the country takes his recommendations seriously, as much as you would like it to be otherwise.

Those who take his recommendations seriously have been already taking his recommendations seriously. Those people had not planned multi-household parties to begin with.
Those who ignores his recommendations for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year will not suddenly change their behaviors. They have already decided to spread the virus and let other people fend for themselves. They won't suddenly realize that other people's lives matter.

I never asked for a "solution" to return to normal life. Before COVID-19, we lived normal life with countless unsolved diseases such as HIV, Cancer, Pneumonia, Seasonal Influenza, etc.
the measures taken for the Covid-19 virus are appropriate for a virus for which a vaccine is new and not yet widespread in the population. Influenza has a vaccine and many people have been vaccinated for it, every year. There is a pneumonia vaccine and certain groups (very young and elderly) may get it. Cancer would not spread like a virus so a lock-down, if that is what you want to call it, wouldn't be effective. Save with HIV.
You need to dig a little deeper into the reasoning. It's not hard.
Appropriate? Evidence? When have we ever done anything of this sort. You have to dig a little deeper into the reasoning to really make sense sir. Repeatiing nonsense does not make it true. We had decades of no flu vaccine and everyone was fine by the way. Just admit you have no clue and you would sound a little smarter.
I see you are still trying to make more money off of the stock market Harambe? Again, you have never spoken an ounce of true here, but you do a good level of fear spreading in hopes of boosting your investment portfolio. POS.

Responsible leadership needs to be clear and it needs be repeated and reinforced very much as Dr. Faucci is doing.
But good job trying to undermine it,
And the fact that you need to dig down this deeply to find something only attests to the great job he is doing.

Are these vast "swatches"??? the very same places where everyone is still dying of covid? It seems like it a bit. They might want to rethink who they trust.

Was it responsible for Fauci to tell the public not to wear masks back in March/April? It does not seem this this DB is really very responsible for anything other than his image. The compulsive liar needs to be replaced with an actual responsible scientist.

we've discussed that ad nauseum and adaquately explained it in that the fact that the virus could be spread asymptomatically and before the appearance of symptoms (pre-symptomatically) was not known so the recommendation changed. It is not so complicated, and again, we've discussed this extensively under another Faucci thread.
The fact that you have a need to prove your agenda at any cost is rather transparent to many of us here.

If you think my post was an attempt to "undermine" Fauci's message, then you have a very serious reading comprehension problem.
And I don't have to dig deep down for anything. While I agree with Fauci's recommendations, I don't think it has much impact on anyone. Those who agree are already taking his advice. Those who have ignored for months will not suddenly change their behaviors. And in that sense, I agree with enegerticlotuseater, although I don't agree with him on the underlying validity of Fauci's recommendations.
I have already given up on a sizable portion of people. They have already determined that only their lives matter. They couldn't care less how many other people they end up killing. The only thing we can do at this point is to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect ourselves. And in the meantime, try to avoid those bio-terrorists the best we can.

Right.
People with no symptoms are killing people left and right
