TME and Drew were able to create an environment that's relaxed and easy to prosper in. There isn't the same amount of pressure and expectation that something like being in BTC would have.
Then why does BTC have 100x the accomplishments and prosperity that TME does?
When you want to be the best in the world, pressure and expectations are necessary.
To be fair, BTC has Nike taking care of them at every turn. It's easy to recruit when you basically have all the running needs catered to under one roof. TME simply doesn't have the deep pockets behind them that BTC does and frankly don't really have the bargaining position to change that. That's the biggest reason they can't recruit runners faster than Hunter. That's also a result of them not having better group success, they qualified guys to the 2019 WC and then basically had nothing to show for it in Doha. It kinda doesn't go anywhere when you have all these videos through the summer and then radio silence when the world's best are competing. Nobody really cares about Club XC titles, they're just something fun for the group to do. TME can't land a bonafide group sponsor, they shill for apps and nutritional supplements on socials just to afford Airbnbs for their group trips out of town.
