I'm assuming you're running 3000m? I would say they're a great option, the upper might not drain water as well as an upper like the mamba v or vaporweave but I think it'll definitely do the job just fine, if I was a steeplechaser I'd probably be wearing the dragonfly.
I'm sure they'd be quite fine. Maybe do a few test jumps to make sure the foam doesn't feel weird coming off the barrier, and run a lap or two with some water in them. Only way to really find out if you like them is to try it
