Great news.
This could turn that seat blue and save the senate.
It suggests his internal polling is very very bad.

Can you share with me the average salary of solar panel workers and which plants in the United States are hiring?

Glad to see NY got off the schneid. Immunization has not been going especially well, but more and more of us old farts are getting jabbed.
Just occurred to me that one potential problem in NYS might be that immigrants without papers can't be immunized, or are reluctant to ask. Anybody know? Is everybody eligible, regardless of immigration status?

nah I changed my standard. I used to look at cases and deaths and classify states by both...but someone correctly pointed out that I am punishing the states that test a lot. So I dropped the states that show a lot of positive tests, and am going with only deaths. NY still is in the worst quintile for cases.
NYC can only seem to do 40,000 jabs per day. That's pathetic.
I'm hoping they are simply running out of 65+ers to jab, and will open things up to younger Applers next week when deliveriies are scheduled to jump.
A lot of the problem is politicians loathe to have any results show that white people are getting vaccinated higher than proportionately. So politicians are trying very hard to get non-white people. Which may be slowing the overall effort, causing more deaths and suffering.

I believe that immigration status is not an obstacle to vaccination.
That is phenomenal. One million a day seemed like the holy grail but now the Biden Administration is vaccinating over two million a day, wow ??
Well done to all involved.
Who’s running the Country, because it obviously ain’t Joe?
More bizarre stuff happening with this Administration, ever.
Joe Biden, tear down this wall. ?
What do you mean? Of course he is running the Country, and he will run the Country until January 20th 2025 or January 20th 2029 if he gets reelected.
I wanted Trump to win, but I am not going to deny reality like the people after Trump won in 2016 saying not my President. If you are a citizen of the USA Joe Biden is your President until one of the 2 dates above.
He is my President as I am a Citizen of the USA , He has been doing a good job overall, though I am not happy about his Wanting Men who pretend to be Woman to play Woman's Sports, Go into Female rest rooms and locker rooms, and I think his wanting to Ban some Dr Seuss books that had material that only the most sensitive , Extremely Sensitive, Abnormally Sensitive would care about, but I guess maybe he was reading Dr. Seuss books to maybe his Grand or Great Grand Kids and he saw some pictures he thought were offensive as he is probably super sensitive, so he used his power of the Presidency to ban them, Oh well
There's no perfect way, but if you are only looking at deaths, you are looking back at how it was month+ ago.
Your last statement is unfortunately correct. A lot of the distribution is being handled politically, not scientifically or statistically.
Meanwhile, Georgia sucks at vaccinating. We are increasing the percent of the population receiving a dose by 0.3-0.5% per day. It's going to take forever here.

About $40,000.
Okay, where are these plants and are they hiring? Where are these millions of jobs that were promised? All I have seen is job cuts through idiotic executive orders by a cognitively failing dictator!
Come on man! Wake up Doug!
Name three positive things Joe has done since he was selected President? What examples of unifying anything can you share?
Interesting post. Your first two paragraphs seem pretty reasonable--I'm an American, so Donald Trump was my president for four years, and now Joseph Biden is, whether I like it or not--but then your last paragraph makes me go "huh?"
I may have missed it--though I try to follow the news pretty carefully--but I haven't seen anything indicating that *JRB* wants "Men who pretend to be Woman to play Woman's Sports, Go into Female rest rooms and locker rooms"--I got the impression he was trying to stay away from that. Nor have I seen anything about BIDEN's wanting to "Ban some Dr Seuss books"--but, again, I might have missed it. Can you please provide a link or two? I don't want to be ignorant about what this president might be doing!
To optimally minimize fatalities, the harder hit, largely minority, populations would get priority, all else being equal.
Thus the validity of the statement, "So politicians are trying very hard to get non-white people. Which may be slowing the overall effort, causing more deaths and suffering" depends on rate of vaccination weighted by the specific vulnerability of those being vaccinated.

the problem is that rich white people tend to be more motivated/computer literate/able to get the vaccine than less rich people of color. So even if you open a vax center in a black or hispanic neighborhood, it is likely to be used by white people, disproportionately.
The Armory in NYC is an example. It is in a heavily hispanic neighborhood, meant to get that underserved population vaxxed... but after it opened it was way way more white people than the neighborhood held.
The city took a lot of heat for that.
This is so awesome I can't even get the words out.
Trump won't let the GOP fundraise using his name.
BECAUSE IT'S HIS MONEY GDMT!!!!!!!
The GOP will be trampled by the trumpenbeast's gluttony.
Politico:
SCOOP: TRUMPS SENDS CEASE-AND-DESIST TO RNC, NRCC AND NRSC. Lawyers for former President DONALD TRUMP sent out cease-and-desist letters Friday to the three largest fundraising entities for the Republican Party — the RNC, NRCC and NRSC — for using his name and likeness on fundraising emails and merchandise, a Trump adviser tells Playbook.
We reported yesterday that Trump was furious that his name has been bandied about by organizations that help Republicans who voted to impeach him — without his permission. Trump, who made his fortune in licensing, has always been sensitive to how his name has been used to fundraise and support members, even while in office.
On Friday, the RNC sent out two emails asking supporters to donate as a way to add their name to a “thank you” card for Trump. “President Trump will ALWAYS stand up for the American People, and I just thought of the perfect way for you to show that you support him!” the email states. “As one of President Trump’s MOST LOYAL supporters, I think that YOU, deserve the great honor of adding your name to the Official Trump ‘Thank You’ Card.” A follow-up email was sent hours later to “President Trump’s TOP supporters” warning of a deadline of 10 hours to get their names on the card.
It was ALWAYS about the grift and lining his families pocket.
