During Cross Country our coach usually has us to do a "200m baton" workout. You are paired up with a partner and one partner starts with the baton. The other partner waits for the hand off at the other end of the football field. After running the 200 and handing off, you jog or quick walk across the football field (50 yards only) before again taking the baton from your partner and running a fast 200. Tough workout and bystanders on the track would laugh at me as I was huffing and puffing and about to pass out.
Anecdote ends here. My question to you all is how can I mimic this workout without a partner so that I get a similar workout stimulus?
